Next to Normal”
Corn Stock Theatre will present the
regional premier of the Broadway hit
musical “Next to Normal” beginning
Nov. 2 at the Winter Playhouse.
Directed by Robin Hunt, the show
is about a family that takes care of
themselves and each other. Show
times are 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2, 3, 9 and 10
and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 4. Tickets are $15
for adults and $10 for students and
can be ordered by calling the Corn
Stock Theatre box office at 676-2196.
Strolling the Junction
The Seventh Annual Holiday Walk at
Junction City from 4 to 9 p.m. on Nov.
2.
Festivities will include pictures
with Santa, carriage rides, live music
and treats at the center’s unique
shops.

NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet
The 50th Annual NAACP Freedom
Fund Banquet will be at 6:30 p.m.
Nov. 3 at the Peoria Civic Center
Ballroom. Mark Thompson will be the

Sports Auction and Card Show
The Peoria Park District will host the

th Annual Sports Auction & Card
Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the
RiverPlex. All proceeds benefit youth
sports in Peoria. Admission is $1 for

The annual lighting ceremony for the
Morton Christmas Tree of Dreams
will be at 7 p.m. at 309 Main St.
JULEP’s Closet Reopens
The annual fundraiser of the Junior
League of Peoria will be Nov. 9 from
5
to 8 p.m., Nov. 10 from 8 a.m. to 4
p.m. and Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4
p.m. at the RiverPlex. It is the city’s
largest sale of quality new and used
merchandise, with proceeds used to
fund Junior League projects.
