A
fashion show aimed
at raising money for
the American Heart
Association that will also feature
potential top models from
central Illinois is scheduled for
Thursday, Feb. 7 at the Scottish
Rite Cathedral in Peoria.
Presented by Tricoci University
of Beauty Culture, the Red Dress
Fashion Show also may help
local women find apparel and
accessories for the American
Heart Association’s Heart Ball,
scheduled for Feb. 23 at the Par-
A-Dice Hotel in East Peoria.
Sponsors for the event include
Macy’s, which is supplying the
red dresses for the fashion show,
OSF Health Care and Walgreens.
The Peorian is proud to be
one of the media partners for the
fashion show, along with WHOI-
TV and CW4.
The Red Dress Fashion Show
is the finale of a three-part event.
The first part has started as the
CW4 has launched a search in
central Illinois to find candidates
for the next season of Tyra Banks’
America’s Next Top Model.
The top 15 from that search
will be asked to be the models for
the fashion show.
The second part of the overall
event will be Feb. 2 when Tricoci
University of Beauty Culture
hosts a “boot camp” for potential
models to learn how to dress, act
and behave if they want to be
noticed.
Emily Ferrell, media/PR
director for AdCo Advertising
Agency, the parent company of
the Peorian, said the main event
(
the Red Dress Fashion Show)
is basically going to be a girl’s
night out” while raising money
to support research into women’s
heart disease.
The doors for the fashion show
will open at 6:30 p.m. with the
show scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Red Dress Fashion Show
is a great opportunity for women
to get together and have a fun
evening with friends. Get the red
carpet experience as you sit back
and check out the latest red dress
styles that you will be able to
order that night.
