EASTER SEALS FUNDRAISERS SCHEDULED
Easter Seals of Central Illinois has several
fundraising events scheduled during January and
February.
The organization’s VIP Campaign luncheons
will be at the Par-A-Dice Hotel in East Peoria.
Speakers will be: Jan. 15, Josh George, USA
Paralympian gold medalist; Jan. 30, Bill &
Margie Springer; Feb. 13, Sister Judith Ann
Duvall of OSF; Feb. 27, TBA.
A spaghetti dinner is scheduled from 5 to 10
p.m. Jan. 26 at Countryside Banquet Center in
Washington. Included will be music, a raffle
and 50/50 drawing.
Easter Seals’ annual “Black and Blue Ball” is
set for Friday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. in the Peoria
Civic Center Ballroom. Music will be by
Wedding Banned of Chicago. There will be
hors d’oeuvres, complimentary beer, wine
and soft drinks, the Bremer Jewelry Martini
Bar. The silent auction will begin at 6 p.m.
and the live auction will be at 7:30 p.m. and
entertainment beginning at 8:30 p.m. Tickets
are $100 or a table of 10 can be reserved for
$1,000. Sponsorships also are available. To

Drake Photo of East Peoria is teaming with
Easter Seals to offer 30-minute photo sessions
for Valentine’s Day images. Greg and Kelli
Drake will donate all proceeds to Easter Seals.
Sessions are available Jan. 16-19 at the Drake
Photo studio. For a $100 donation you can get

photo Valentines and one Facebook image.

WINTER WARMING CHILDREN’S BENEFIT
The Sun Foundation will host its annual Winter
Warming Benefit for the Children’s Program Fund
from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Peoria
Riverfront Museum.
The event will include wine and brew tasting
hosted by Super Liquors, hors d’oeurves by
Cracked Pepper Catering, live music with Paul
Adams, and desserts by Joanne Bloom, Nancy
Root, Karen Hathaway, Mary Carrara, Sharon
Kramer, Rose Sullivan, Diane Barnickle.
Throughout the event there will be coffee by
Starbucks, and a silent auction and a specialty
raffle.
Tickets are $55 and all proceeds benefit the Sun
Foundation’s Children’s Program Fund. To make

VALENTINE RAFFLE FOR BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB
The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Peoria annual
Have A Heart Valentine Raffle is happening again
this year, with proceeds going to support the
organization’s tutoring and mentoring programs.
Tickets are $25 and cash prizes will be awarded to
50
people. The top prize is $2,500.

The drawing will be Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at the
Boys & Girls Club.

The Sisters of St. Francis of the Immaculate
Conception, also known as the Heading Avenue
Franciscans, will have their annual “Your Table is
Ready” dinner and auction fundraiser at 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Spalding Pastoral Center,
