Simply put, he wouldn’t have
it any other way. In his art-
ist world, the subject matter is
never-ending, but in reality, “life
does, so I must paint.”

Below are his responses to a
few questions.
When I’m not working on my
art I’m a family man. Nothing is
more important than that. I met
my wife Tina (The Woman) at
a midnight movie at the Palace
Theater in Peoria. After forging
a birth certificate (she was 16),
we eloped and have been on the
run ever since. After 36 years
and four children, it feels like 36
minutes…under water!
I’m usually not too impressed
with my art, but at the same time,
I believe that the harshest critics
are the artists who create original
works of art. I paint because that
is what I like to do.
My favorite art secret wouldn’t
be a secret if I told!
If I had to give advice to art
students I would tell them to
paint, draw, sculpt, form, shoot
—
just create. Get your space and
