scheduled
The film “March On!... and More
Stories About African-American
History” will be shown at the Lincoln
Branch of the Peoria Public Library
at 6 p.m. The movie carries an
important message about justice and
equality. The event is free and all
ages are welcome.

Rock of Ages at Civic Center
Revisit the glory days of hair bands
and arena rock with “Rock of Ages”,
the Tony Award-nominated love story
set in 1987 on the Sunset Strip, at 7:30
p.m. Jan. 17 and 18 in the Peoria Civic
Center Theatre. The show features
the hits of Journey, Pat Benatar,
Poison, REO Speedwagon and more.
Tickets are $39, $49 and $59 and are
available at the Civic Center box
office.

Harlem Globetrotters at Civic Center
The Harlem Globetrotters, the
legendary basketball-playing clowns
of the court return to the Peoria Civic
Center Arena at 7 p.m. on Jan. 18.

Rascal Flatts with Sara Evans and
Hunter Hayes
Rascal Flatts, with special guest Sara
Evans and Hunter Hayes, will perform
at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 20 at the Peoria Civic
Center Arena. Tickets on sale now
at the Civic Center box office, $25.25,
$40.25 and $56.25.

WMBD-TV Family Fest 2012
Children’s Hospital of Illinois presents
a day of fun for the entire family with
the WMBD-TV Family Fest 2012 in the
Peoria Civic Center Exhibit Hall.
Scheduled for 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
attractions include the
Fun on the
Run inflatables, an indoor rock
climbing wall, a balloon artist and
face Painting. Tickets are $5, with
children 3 and under admitted free.
Also available is the Family Four Pack
(two Adults/two Children) for $15.
Jan. 28
Alamo Scouts subject of program
Lance Zedric, local author and
historian, will present a program on
the heroic Alamo Scouts who served
during WWII at 1 p.m. at Peoria
Public Library North Branch in the
McKenzie Room.

Monster Jam at the Civic Center
Monster trucks with names like
Grave Digger and Rammunition
invade the Peoria Civic Center Arena
for Monster Jam, beginning at 7 p.m.
on Feb. 3, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Feb.
