Corn Stock presents “God of
Carnage”
Corn Stock Theatre’s Winter
Playhouse will present “God of
Carnage,” a Tony Award winning
dark comedy written by Yasmina
Reza and translated by Christopher
Hampton, at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 17, 18, 24
and 25 and at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at the
Playhouse in Upper Bradley Park.
Directed by Paul Gordon, the play
is about two couples of varied
backgrounds who, after their
11-year-old sons have an altercation
on a playground, meet to try and
resolve the matter. It starts nice
enough but turns chaotic once the
booze starts to flow.

Spring Home Show scheduled
The Home Builders Association of
Greater Peoria annual Spring Home
Show is scheduled for the Peoria
Civic Center Exhibit Hall. With more
than 225 companies represented, this
is the largest show of its kind in the
area.
Show times are 4 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 24,
10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 25 and noon to
5 p.m. on Feb. 26. Admission is $6 for
adults, $3 for 60 or older and free for
18 and under.

Stacking Championship
Do you have what it takes to be a
champion stacker? The 2012 Great
Lakes Regional Sport Stacking
Championship is scheduled for Feb.
25 at the Peoria Civic Center.
Early registration ends Feb. 17 and
costs $15. The registration fee is
$20 on and after Feb. 18 and are
available at the door the day of the
competition.
