OSF To host 'Party with a Purpose'

To continue its efforts to educate the community about lung cancer, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center will host the Third Annual Party For a Purpose. on Sunday on Peoria's riverfront.
The Lung Cancer Awareness event will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Organized by the Comprehensive Lung Cancer Center at OSF Saint Francis in conjunction with the Illinois Lung Institute and Central Illinois Radiological Associates, the event will incorporate education into a fun filled family-friendly evening.
Party For a Purpose will feature Zoo Lady face painting for kids, music by the West MacQueen Street band, creations by Unique Twist Balloon, with food and beverages available for purchase. A "Shine the Light on Lung Cancer" Awareness Vigil will take place at 8:30 p.m.
There will be door prizes, including a $100 Shoppes at Grand Prairie gift certificate, BP gas card, restaurant gift cards, and RiverPlex passes.
The Comprehensive Lung Cancer Center at OSF Saint Francis, through its clinic, provides patients diagnosed with lung cancer a team approach to treatment. Specialty physicians bring together the latest technology, physician expertise, timely evaluation, treatment planning and ongoing follow-up care.
