An interview with Dave Mingus, mayor of East Peoria.
We introduce the show's topic, the construction of the new East Peoria downtown, which will combine government, retail, commercial and eventually residential aspects into the area where once large Caterpillar factories stood. We introduce Mayor Mingus to discuss the plans, the project timeline, what it will be called and why it took so long to get it going. Also included is Kevin Kizer's culinary and literary segment. This week he gives us another segment of "Kevin Reads Stuff So You Don't Have To."
