Alzheimer's group to host caregiver program

The Alzheimer's Association-Central Illinois Chapter will have a program titled "Perspectives on Caregiver Stress" from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8 at the Pekin Public Library, 301 S. Fourth St., Pekin.
The program addresses coping with stress related to caring for individuals with Alzheimer's. The group will examine the symptoms of caregiver stress and learn tips and strategies for assisting with routine personal care activities, as well as simple steps to make the home safe and supportive.
Registration is required at least a day in advance of the program by calling the office at 800.272.3900 or 309.681.1100. Low enrollment numbers may result in the program being canceled or rescheduled.
